YOU PEOPLE ARE NUTS I WOULDNT EAT ANYTHING FROM A DUMPSTER NOT ONLY THAT BY STICKING TO SCRAP METALS YOU WILL MAKE MORE THAN ENOUGH IN A FEW HOURS TO BUY A GOOD HEARTY MEAL AT A SIT DOWN PLACE OR SHOP AND MAKE YOUR OWN WITHOUT THE FEAR OF GETTING SICK
DUMPSTER DIVE FOR SCRAP METAL AND OTHER SALEABLE THINGS GET PAID THEN EAT
First & for most - if you choose to dive for scrap metals in exchange for money to buy food and to "go out to eat"! Than that's your bloody business!!! But whatever you throw away and waste will look wonderful on my plate or other's that has dive for it.
And we will gladly enjoy it because we didn't have to pay for it! If you feel uncomfortable diving then don't dive! Every Dumpster Diving is different.
And in turn you want get sick!
Happy Diving :-)
To each his/her own!!! I have gotten so many useful items from the dumpster where I live. (not food...although someone was moving the other week and threw away unopened cans of food. I set them on top for anyone who wanted to take them ) Humans are soooo wasteful and if the Freegans put in the effort to find their food and it's free....then all the more power to them. I am sure they are careful and wouldn't eat anything that would be harmful to them. Also if more people would dumpster dive, there would be less hungry people in the streets. And why don't the business who are throwing it all away...leave it at the back door for these people ??? And Dear anonymous....they are not 'nuts'.
I started curb surfing in college, and yes we ate like kings! Since college the surfing is in the blood! I've found and sold thousands of dollars worth of stuff on ebay and craigslist. stuff like - and no lies - Gold, Silver, jewels, antiques, books, WWI and WWII medals, and just recently - NOT SOLD!!!!! - a poor mans ashes whom a family member must not have liked and thrown away. Being a curb surfer I belive I was destined to find this man and give him a proper burial. Dumpster Diving Rules!!!
It rules indeed!
